Agreement to these Terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and Pastor Video Creator Inc., an Ontario corporation with its principal business address at 2150 Winston Park Drive Unit 203 #1603, Oakville, ON L6H 5V1 (“we,” “us,” or “our”), operating the AmosGPT websites, applications, and related services (the “Service”), including the Amos Scripture assistant. Legal notices must be sent to 2150 Winston Park Drive Unit 203 #1603, Oakville, ON L6H 5V1 (and may also be emailed to [email protected]).
You agree to these Terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy when you create an account, sign up, check an acceptance box, purchase a subscription, send a question to Amos (as a guest or while signed in), or otherwise expressly accept them (including clicking “I agree” or a similar control). Electronic acceptance is valid. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the Service.
1. Eligibility and accounts
You must be legally able to enter a binding contract and at least the age of majority in your province or territory (and in any event at least 16). You are responsible for your credentials and all activity under your account.
2. Description of the Service; no SLA; beta features
AmosGPT provides AI-assisted Scripture study answers with citations (World English Bible / configured index). Features, limits, pricing, and availability may change. Unless you purchase a separate written service-level commitment, we do not promise any particular uptime, latency, or support response time. Beta, preview, or experimental features may be incomplete, change, or be withdrawn without liability, and are provided AS IS.
3. Geographic availability
The Service is offered primarily for users in Canada. We do not currently represent that the Service fully satisfies Quebec-specific French-language or privacy-governance requirements unless we expressly enable Quebec availability. Use outside supported territories is at your own risk.
4. AI outputs — review required; assumption of risk; no advice; no crisis care
Outputs from Amos (answers, summaries, explanations, and suggested citations) are produced using probabilistic generative AI and automated systems. They may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, theologically imprecise, culturally inappropriate, non-unique, misleading, or otherwise unsuitable. Amos is a Scripture study aid, not a human pastor, counsellor, clinician, attorney, or emergency service, and we owe no duty of care as such.
You must review all outputs before relying on them for teaching, counselling, publishing, or personal decisions. Outputs are not pastoral, theological, counseling, medical, mental-health, legal, financial, safety, or other professional advice. Do not rely on outputs for crisis, self-harm, medical emergencies, or any decision that could affect your health, safety, legal rights, or finances. If you are in danger or thinking of harming yourself or others, contact local emergency services or a qualified crisis resource immediately — the Service is not an emergency resource and cannot help in a crisis.
Citations should be verified in a trusted Bible text. You alone are responsible for editorial, pastoral, publishing, and personal decisions. To the maximum extent permitted by law, you assume the risk of using and publishing AI outputs and release us from claims arising from the content of outputs or your reliance on them — including injury, loss, or damage from decisions or actions you take (or fail to take) after reading Amos — except to the extent liability cannot legally be limited.
5. Customer Content; sensitive data
You retain ownership of content you submit (“Customer Content”), subject to third-party rights. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, process, transmit, display, and otherwise use Customer Content solely as needed to provide, secure, and support the Service (including sending content to AI subprocessors).
Sensitive information: You must not upload confidential pastoral-counselling records, medical or financial information, government identifiers, children’s personal information, or other highly sensitive personal information.
6. Scripture and Bible text
Bible or scripture text made available in the Service is limited to public-domain or otherwise permitted editions as we configure (including the World English Bible). If you paste or upload scripture or other text yourself, you are responsible for having the rights to use that text.
7. No training on Customer Content for foundation models
Consistent with our Privacy Policy, and as configured with our providers under their written terms, we do not use Customer Content to train third-party foundation models. Operational processing required to generate your outputs and to operate, secure, and monitor the Service is permitted.
8. Billing, subscriptions, renewals, and taxes
- Website: paid plans are sold through Stripe. Manage or cancel in the Stripe customer portal.
- iOS / Android apps: paid plans are sold only through Apple In-App Purchase or Google Play Billing (via RevenueCat). Manage or cancel in your store account settings. Restore purchases is available in the app.
Before you complete a purchase, checkout will show (as applicable) amount, currency, billing frequency, renewal, cancellation, and refund rules, with links to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
Taxes: Prices are displayed and charged as shown at checkout. We do not currently collect GST/HST or other sales taxes at checkout. If law later requires us to collect tax, we will update checkout and these Terms.
Refunds, if any, follow the Refund Policy and as otherwise required by applicable law.
Order of precedence: (1) the checkout / order confirmation for that purchase; (2) these Terms; (3) the Privacy Policy; (4) the Refund Policy.
9. Acceptable use
You may not use the Service to:
- violate law or the rights of others;
- create or distribute illegal, abusive, harassing, hateful, or exploitative content;
- abuse rate limits, scrape, overload, reverse engineer, or extract models, prompts, or non-public systems;
- misrepresent AI-assisted output where disclosure is legally required or where deception would be harmful;
- upload highly sensitive personal information in violation of Section 5.
10. Third-party services and links
The Service may integrate with third-party products (payment processors, hosting, AI providers, app stores, etc.). Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
11. Intellectual property complaints
If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright or trademark, send a notice to [email protected] (subject “IP Complaint”) with your contact information, a description of the work and the allegedly infringing material, and a good-faith statement.
12. Termination; data deletion
You may stop using the Service at any time. You may delete your account from the in-app control; deletion removes your product content from our active systems as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate access immediately if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if needed to protect the Service or others.
13. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE AND ALL OUTPUTS ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ACCURACY OR RELIABILITY OF AI OUTPUTS.
No liability for user actions. Without limiting Section 4, to the fullest extent permitted by law Pastor Video Creator Inc. is not responsible or liable for any decisions, actions, omissions, self-harm, illegal acts, injury, or damages arising from reliance on AI outputs or from use or misuse of the Service. Outputs are informational Scripture study aids only.
14. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE AND OUR AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, SUPPLIERS, AND SUBPROCESSORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY — INCLUDING CLAIMS ARISING FROM AI OUTPUTS, RELIANCE ON GENERATED CONTENT, OR USER DECISIONS OR ACTIONS DESCRIBED IN SECTIONS 4 AND 13.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE FIRST CLAIM. IF YOU HAVE PAID NOTHING, OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO CAD $50.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
15. Indemnification
You will defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from claims arising out of or related to: (a) your Customer Content; (b) your use or misuse of the Service or outputs (including reliance on AI answers); (c) your publishing, pastoral, medical, legal, or personal decisions; (d) your breach of these Terms; or (e) your violation of law or third-party rights.
16. Informal dispute resolution; governing law and venue
Before commencing a formal proceeding, a party must provide written notice describing the dispute and allow 30 days for good-faith informal resolution.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Subject to mandatory consumer protections that cannot be waived, you agree that the courts of Ontario, Canada, have exclusive jurisdiction.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, you must bring any claim within twelve (12) months after the claim accrues.
17. Changes; entire agreement; contact
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, Cookie Policy, and checkout/order terms, constitute the entire agreement regarding the Service.
